Macworld Expo, SF2007
Apple reinvents the phone.
Xnet unveils a phone with an iPhone skin.
This was the first Macworld Expo for myself and what a wonderful show it was to be part of. We traveled half-way around the world to be part of the Expo and it was worth every uncomfortable minute of the 13 hours flying to get there and be part of it.
Obviously the highlight of the show was the unveiling of the iPhone with Steve Job's obvious showmanship offering the perfect delivery for a beautifully designed phone. It was exhilarating to hear the crowd respond to his jokes and the gasps of joy as he unveiled each new gem.
We went to San Francisco to unveil a revolutionary softphone called iSoftPhone. It was very important of us to find out first hand what users thought about it and to be honest we were surprised that the feedback was so positive, one user commented that "I have been waiting four years to find software like this". The feedback was that the interface is beautiful, the phone is easy to use with fantastic voice quality but most importantly it is very simple to configure with any VoIP provider and no restriction to a particular provider.

Users were greatly impressed and amazed at how quickly we were able to unveil an iPhone skin for our phone into a working model. The response was "when can I have an iPhone version of iSoftPhone" and the answer is right away.
On a personal note the main highlight of the show was the chance to meet so many enthusiastic Mac users, some were old Captain FTP users, some were new iSoftPhone users but most I had never had any contact with before. It was great to meet so many people who all share the same passion for Mac and indeed our software. There was so much enthusiasm for the Show and indeed for iSoftPhone that I felt I was floating on cloud nine. I can't wait for the next show.
